We just came back from our yearly shopping trip at IKEA and I just have to say that we were sickened, disgusted and shocked at what we saw going on in there. First off when we walked in we were met with one of the filthiest dining areas I have ever seen. There was food everywhere, dirty dishes, the tables had not been cleaned, some of the locals were spitting on the floor and we saw 2 parents changing their childrens diapers on the tables that customers use for eating. After that horror show we went into the buying area where the grossness just continued. There were people laying on the sofas, some were sleeping, others checking their text messages, one guy was laying there picking his nose and then wiped his fingers on the cushions. In the kitchen displays one guy was sitting on the counter in his shorts talking on his phone. When we got to the bedding area, we stood there in disbelief. Almost every single bed had the locals laying in them!! Some were under the covers, others were sleeping, couples laying together, talking, eating and the ones that were empty the blankets and sheets were in disarray. The model rooms were just so dirty and disorganized, there was hair in the beds, on the counters, and it was just overall not appealing. Some of the staff were just standing around, doing nothing. I would have thought that they should be cleaning or straightening out the rooms.

Es sind andere Sachen, die mir hier schwer zu Schaffen machen. Die TOTALE selbstzentriertheit und arroganz der chinesen, vor allem des chinesischen Mannes. Die Selbstverständlichkeit von Human Traffic, Prostitution, fehlender Manieren.

Naja. Nachdem ich aufgehört habe in chinesische Restaurants essen zu gehen (um nicht mit ansehen zu müssen wie Menschen wie Schweine essen, Lamas spucken, und Zigaretten am Tisch in die am ganzen Tisch ausgespuckten Nahrungsreste auszudrücken) fühl ich mich eh schon ein bisschen menschlicher wieder.

Naja. Aber die Chinesinnen, schon fantastisch anzusehen. Krass. Wie kann man sich nur so frei und natürlich bewegen? Muss wohl auch am fehlenden Befangen liegen.

you all have seen the oil spill pictures from usa:

• beautiful long beaches, and if you look closely or zoom in, you might notice a slight change towards darkblueish or blackish on the coastline.
• a couple of birds covered in oil, about to die
• green BP logos, with a stylish black or brownish dark blue ambiance painted into it

now compare this with the fotos that are published about the china oil spill:

Interesting, isn’t it? Both disasters - by their nature - should look quite the same (only the one in the gulf of mexiko is much larger). But the one in america is presented like disneyland on tv, while the one in China really looks like a severe disaster.

if i could make one feature request, on thing i’m able to say and that would become real in operating systems,

it would be:

PLEASE DON’T STEAL MY FOCUS

for that i’m a lot happier with os x than with windows. windows was a nightmare, programs kept popping out of nowhere, stealing focus. all this repositioning of the cursor, lost words, lost clicks, 太麻烦，extremely unsatisfactory user experience.

still happens with os x. some programs take like 10 seconds to launch. meanwhile i’m back to skype or word or textmate or where ever, getting some quick typing done and BOOM focus stolen, the last line of code gone to nowhere.

please, don’t steal my focus, i spent a lot of money so i can work, and i want to get my work done, not clicking around windows … like in windows os ….

All my life I was wondering what other people talk about when they talk. Didn’t you?

Now, so many years into my life, when I hear other people talking, I think I was blessed not to know all this, not have heard them. Their conversations make me sad. Lack of humor, lack of understanding. Lack of everything.

If some of the girls weren’t so incredibly cute, I think there would be nothing worth talking or listening to at all.
